Improper procedures during a routine overhaul left a main landing gear component damaged and set the stage for a fatigue crack to form, the NTSB found.

John Wayne Airport is preparing for its largest private infrastructure investment in the form of Clay Lacy Aviation’s sustainability-focused FBO facility.

The NTSB released a report with initial findings into the incident that saw the left main landing gear fail on an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-800 during landing.

Five transcontinental services are among the US carrier’s eight domestic additions, one of which will become the farthest route in its network.

The startup will be the only carrier flying the transcontinental route.

The carrier has also commenced six new routes from Phoenix.

The ULCC will connect Las Vegas to Orlando by the Floridian resort city’s secondary airport.

The ULCC will launch three routes from both Austin, Texas, and Nashville, Tennessee.

The carrier looks to sun and snow destinations for winter season.

The carrier will also extend its Calgary-SFO summer service to year-round.

The service was originally planned to start in June 2020.

The Florida airport has not been connected to London since a Gatwick service ended in 2020.
